This is a sketch of a "gridship" - not too sure about what it would do ... perhaps a deep space, long range fighter of sorts - a bit long in the tooth, too.

How about a two man freighter: built and flies like a starfighter, carrying capacity of a freighter, two man crew, armed for a dogfight, medium to low level of maintenance, integrated FTL system, folds wings for easy parking and storage, and lot of potential for modification (weapons, accommodations, systems, sensors, skies the limit). Thats what I think it could be, drawing on the star wars part of my brain, the ship is really cool, star wars esque, in a good way. Great job regardless, thumbs up.

Looks like a step from a normal fighter, so yeah possible long range but wonder how big the cockpit is for long haul travel :O
