Merchantman by Orpheus7 Merchantman by Orpheus7
A merchantman concept from a few years ago. I started playing around with the idea of having ships that are broken up into elements that are held together by electromagnetic forces instead of having to be encapsulated in a hull. In this case, the ship has two drives (vertical wings) that hang on either side of the ship and propel it using dark energy drives.

Your cargo arrangement makes more sense. Look at ocean going cargo ships and all the caontainers pilled on the upper deck.

Dark energy drives? How would this work?

i had that idea also

i first thought of that in relation to holding missiles to wings and using alternating magnets to give the rockets spin
